About Me
Professional Skills
User Experience Design
I specialize in understanding the user journey. With data and personas, I look at creating a user experience that is pleasing, engaging, and easy-to-use.
User Interface Design
I have designed user interfaces for websites, web applications, mobile web applications, and mobile games.
Front-End Development
I use HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and modern techniques to create valid, semantic, and working prototypes for back-end integration for web-based sites and applications.
Project Management
I'm fully capable of managing small-to-large scale projects from concept to production. My technical skills and communication skills enable me to bridge the gap between the business and the technical side of product development.
Content Creation
Can't let that English degree go to waste! I can create content for large-scale websites. This involves subject matter expert interviews, authoring content, and reviews.
Usability
I'm a Certified Usability Analyst (Human Factors International). I can validate wireframes, designs, and developed prototypes by conducting standard usability and user affordance testing.
Personal Interests
Skiing
Is it winter yet? Nothing better than a powder day. When I'm not climbing up mountains, I'm skiing down them.
Rock Climbing
When I'm not skiing down mountains, I'm climbing up them. I also spend time volunteering with the Boston Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club's Rock Program.
Photography
The worst part about coming back from a trip is sorting through your 100 GB of photos.
Lego
Creativity at its best. Check out a content entry that a friend and I worked together on: Baby Got Crack | Entry for Moosejaw Mountaineering "Send me to Squamish" Contest
T-shirt Design
I have about 50 t-shirt designs on the backlog.
